Your first platform
Create a platform in the Console, give it a name and a look, publish it, and send people to it.
A platform is your product: its own address, its own members and its own look. You create and run it in the Console, so you need Console access first (Console access).
Create it
In the Console, open your organization and choose Create app. The wizard has four steps:
- Experience & basics: the platform's name, its address name (lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens), its default language and the experience it starts from.
- Branding basics: a main colour, a font and, if you have one, a logo.
- Domain: the subdomain it answers at. You can also enter your own domain here and connect it later (Sites and domains).
- Launch: a summary. Check it, then create the platform.
Give it a name and a look
Open the platform in the Console:
- General Settings → General Information holds its name, its address name and its default language.
- Branding holds the logo (light and dark versions), the cover image, the favicon and the image shown when someone shares a link to it. Each image can be up to 5 MB.
Publish it
A new platform is published as soon as you create it. To take it offline, open Preview & Publish and choose Unpublish platform. While it is unpublished, its address stops serving it and it disappears from its members' list of platforms. Choose Publish platform to bring it back.
Where your members sign in
Your members sign in at the platform's own address: its subdomain, or your own domain once it is connected. Each platform keeps its own accounts: a member's account and password on your platform belong to your platform.
If a member's account at app.alodai.com is linked to your platform, they can also open it from there without signing in again (Your account).
