Sites and domains
Your platform's public site, and putting your own domain in front of your platform.
Your public site
Your organization's public websites live in the Console under Websites. Open a site to edit its pages in the block editor. A site can be linked to one of your platforms.
Saving a page doesn't make it live: a page is published on purpose, so you can work on it first. Platforms and sites describes the pieces a site is made of.
Use your own domain
Your platform answers at its own subdomain from the start. To serve it at a domain you own:
- In the Console, open the platform's General Settings and find
Custom Domain. Enter the domain, for example
community.yourcompany.com, and choose Add Domain. - The Console shows a TXT record. Add it at your DNS provider. It proves the domain is yours.
- Choose Verify DNS. DNS changes can take a while to spread; if verification doesn't pass yet, wait a few minutes and try again.
- Once the domain is verified, add the CNAME record the Console shows you, so the domain points at your platform.
Each platform can have one custom domain. Custom domains explains how the check works.
